Powder River Livestock Equipment

Powder River Livestock Equipment originated in Baker, OR in 1938, named after the Powder River, which runs through Baker. Founded by Al Crowson, the company began as a one-man welding shop. Mr. Crowson believed in building heavy-duty products that would hold up under the most rugged conditions. This philosophy was the beginning of a reputation that has built Powder River into a major force in the livestock handling equipment industry.

Today, Powder River's corporate headquarters are in Provo, UT, which includes a 280,000-square foot manufacturing facility sitting on 20 acres in southeast Provo at the base of the Wasatch Mountain Range. In addition to the cattle-handling products, several other product lines have now been added: horse stalls, round pens, saddle racks, feeders, dog kennels and small animal pens, just to name a few.

The future looks very bright for Powder River and much of that success can be attributed to the loyal customer base. Powder River services some 1400 dealers nationwide and internationally. Pasture Management has been distributing Powder River products for over 10 years now, with many satisfied and returning customers. Powder River continues to be the industry leader in durable livestock handling equipment, and looks forward to meeting the future needs of livestock owners everywhere.
